Method and record-keeping
How it works
Two lines
Elite Flat covers Flat racing on turf and all-weather; Elite Jumps covers hurdles and chases. Both cover every race in Britain and Ireland.
Value, not fancies
Our models rate every runner and turn that rating into a fair price. We only tip a horse when the bookmakers' price is well above that fair price. Most tips are not favourites; average odds are around 12/1 to 14/1, so expect long losing runs between winners.
When tips are released
Singles are released at 5pm the day before racing, and the Elite Multi at 8pm, each with the price and bookmaker to take. Bookmakers price up most races between about 3pm and 5pm, so bet as soon as the tips land: prices usually shorten through the evening.
How results are settled
- Singles: £10 win bets at the first price, the best bookmaker price when the market opened. By 5pm some prices will have shortened.
- Elite Multi: ten £1 each-way doubles (£20) at Bet365's first price.
- Rule 4 is deducted where horses are withdrawn after the price was taken.
- Non-runners are void. Every tip stays on the record, winners and losers.
Live record and backtests
The record shows the backtest (the same rules applied to races from March 2025, always labelled as simulated) and then live tips from 4 November 2026.
What to expect
This is a long-odds, high-variance approach. Even in the backtests there were losing months and drawdowns of several hundred pounds at £10 stakes. Only bet what you can afford to lose. See responsible gambling.
